Mr. Dan Hoyt graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business Administration in 1962. For the past 34 years, he has been involved in the life insurance and group benefits industry as a career agent with One America Financial Partners. He has achieved both industry-wide and national company recognition for production and mentorship (he has been a member of AUL’s Chairman’s Council numerous times). He has been a main platform and afternoon presenter at 5 different MORT annual meetings as well as numerous statewide and local association meetings throughout the country. He has also authored numerous articles on “The Agent as a Business Person.” Mr. Hoyt takes great pride in the relationships he has built through consultations with his business clients that range from large public companies to small private businesses. Throughout his career, he has served as mentor to many other entrepreneurs. Mr. Hoyt previously worked 7 years as an account executive at Merrill Lynch and before that as Chief Executive of two and Vice President of one Chamber of Commerce in Indiana. Mr. Hoyt believes in setting goals and is a former National Client of the Year of Success Motivation Institute. Not only has he consistently achieved goals in his personal life; his business mission is to help others reach their personal and business development and estate preservation goals. He currently serves as a board member of Medizone International, a U.S. public corporation in the biotech industry as well as a sister entity, the Canadian Foundation for Global Health. He previously owned three other entrepreneurial businesses: The Dan Hoyt franchise of SMI which enjoyed the position as the top sales organization in the country 2 years running for Success Motivation Institute, TriOzone, an ozone-based air quality and purification company and Biosys, a microbial based cleaning and pest control blender and distributor.

Mr. Hoyt is and has been very active in his community and church. These activities and positions include: current board member of the Indiana University Cancer Center Development Board; former board member of Mental Health America of Greater Indianapolis; former national officer and board member of the Cursillo Movement (a Catholic renewal movement), former board member and board chair of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Terre Haute, IN; former board chair of Our Lady of Fatima Retreat Center: twice chair of the Parents’ Association of Ball State University (his 9 children are graduates of Ball State); former active leader in Troop 174, Boy Scouts of America (his 5 sons are Eagle Scouts). Numerous other board and leadership positions include former board member of St. Elizabeth Home for Unwed Mothers, past president of Indianapolis Serra Club, former board member of Prevent Blindness of Indiana; Indianapolis and Indiana State Chambers of Commerce member and chair of several committees; former board member of the Indianapolis Business Development Foundation and Christamore Settlement House. He is currently chair of the Rebuild My Church Board of Visitors of Marian University, Indianapolis, IN.; a board member of the Indianapolis St. Vincent Hospital Foundation; an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and a former member of Pink Ribbon Connection, a group serving the needs of breast cancer patients and survivors in central Indiana (he is a 12-year survivor). He also serves as a council member and member of the Tocqueville Society of Greater Indianapolis United Way. Mr. Hoyt and his wife Judy have been married 46 years and have a family which includes 9 children and 17 grandchildren. He is currently semi-retired as an emeritus agent of One America Financial Partners.
